The idea began with the notion that Cerberus is a dog but not really a dog, which led me to connect it with Magritte’s work, adding another layer of meaning. The pipe painting is a work by the French surrealist René Magritte, featuring an image of a pipe with the phrase “This is not a pipe” written below it. While the painting depicts a pipe, it is not an actual pipe—it does not physically exist.
